Overview of the College

It is a system of rules created and enforced by social or governmental institutions to regulate behavior. Although its precise definition is a subject of long-term debate. It has been described differently as the science and art of justice. Laws enforced by the state can be issued through a collective legislative body or by a single legislator, resulting in statutes. They can also be enacted by the executive authority through decrees and regulations or decided by judges through precedents, usually in judicial jurisdictions for public law. Individuals can create legally binding contracts, including arbitration agreements that may opt for alternative dispute resolution instead of regular court proceedings. The formation of laws itself may be influenced by a written or implicit constitution and the rights enshrined in it. Law shapes politics, economics, history, and society in various ways and serves as a mediator for relationships between people


Working on preparing distinguished legal graduates in the fields of judiciary and advocacy, to work in legal positions within state departments and institutions; supplying the private sector with qualified individuals in the legal aspect, and working on enhancing legal awareness among members of the community


The mission is the pursuit of attaining a prominent position in higher education and distinguished scientific research in the legal field, linking it to development and society according to the vision of the Al Turath University. Also, contributing to finding appropriate solutions to the problems facing society through studying those issues, focusing on their causes through scientific research, and addressing the phenomenon of organized crime and fighting administrative and financial corruption.


The College of Law aims to prepare specialized legal professionals to work in state departments, institutions, and the private sector. This is achieved by supporting students in understanding the facts, concepts, principles, and basic legal theories. It seeks to instill the concept of rights in students at both national and international levels. The college works to equip students with the understanding, interpretation, analysis, and application of legal rules. Additionally, it empowers students to acquire legal drafting and advocacy skills.

Planning to achieve the mission and Objectives

Short-Term Planning

"It involves working on annually incorporating new vocabulary that aligns with developments in modern administrative sciences, in coordination with corresponding departments that have achieved compatibility. Additionally, attempting to add new terms within the permissible limit of change, not exceeding 20% compared to the rest of the corresponding departments."

Medium-Term Planning

Coordination with the law departments in corresponding colleges to exchange expertise in the nature of curricula and study materials, as well as the exchange of professors and hosting them to advance the academic level by benefiting from the scientific and practical experiences of others and aspiring to establish this collaboration with reputable international universities."

Long-Term Planning

Attracting distinguished professors with advanced academic degrees and this involves increasing financial resources to enhance capacity and implementing e-learning mechanisms. The plan includes introducing postgraduate studies for graduates of the college and other corresponding colleges. The new Private Education Law allows the introduction of postgraduate studies in private colleges that meet its conditions.
